Scores
of articles and books have been written on the Middle East conflict and the
majority of them mention land, Jerusalem, settlers, water, holy sites and the
list goes on. If we are honest with ourselves and with the facts that are out
there, the conclusion one comes up with, is Islamic Jew hatred. This is the
most basic and primary cause for the crisis in the Middle East. It is joined
with other appendages like the United Nations, policy decisions both domestic
and foreign and a host of other things. All these contribute to and advance Jew
hatred or to put it more boldly anti-semitism. These factors help contribute to
the malaise of boycotting Jewish products, referring to Israel as a fascist-apartheid
state, and the basic attempt to delegitimize Israel in any way possible. In an article
written by Bradley Burston Senior Editor of Haaretz August 21, Burston attacked
Zionist advocate Pamela Geller for her exposure of Islamic Jew hatred, this is
what he said:
Israel has
elaborate defense systems against military attack and terrorism. Its defenses
against its extremists, such as professional bigot Pamela Geller, are much more
porous. Islamophobia, not
Islam, will be the end of Israel; Israel has elaborate defense systems against
military attack and terrorism. Its defenses against its extremists, such as
professional bigot Pamela Geller, are much more porous. Everyone knows,
deep down, that hatred feeds on tolerance. That however well-intentioned, a
society's forbearance for the toxic slur, for the poison of ethnic or religious
or racial prejudice, does hatred invaluable service. No one knows this better
than professional bigots. People like Pamela Geller, who pass themselves off as
supporters of a worthy cause even as their hatred and prejudice stain and
undermine anything and everything worthy about that cause.
Is Geller correct in her assessment of Islam? Is there truth
to what she is saying or is Burston correct? When the facts are laid bare
before us, Geller comes out the winner with a knockout punch. Geller is
speaking the truth and it is impossible to ignore Islamic Jew hatred; one
cannot sweep it under the rug, it is what it is.
Pamela Geller
is not an extremist because she is exposing Jew hatred in Islamic teaching; on
the contrary she is exposing the chief cause why there is a conflict between
Jews and Muslims. Moreover, coupled with Jew hatred is the fact that the Jewish
state is a success story in the region. Jews in the region are a success and
the enviers hate Israel for it. George Glider writes:
In particular,
the immiseration of the Middle East stems chiefly from covetous and crippling
idea among Arabs that Israel’s wealth is not the only source of their humiliation
but also the cause of their poverty.[1]
So we have Jew hatred on one hand and victimization on the
other. Arabs are the recipient of poverty because Jews are successful. When it
comes to technology companies and global investors Israel leads in creativity
and entrepreneurship. It’s no wonder that Israel ranks high as a leading
nation. A close look at Israel one can see that Israel has the highest density
of start ups in the world a total of 3,850 start-ups, one for every 1,844
Israelis.[2] So is Burston correct in
his attack against Geller? Is it really Islamophobia and not Islam that will be
the end of Israel? You decide...
